4119 Central Installation!

The lights for the sign get turned on with the street lights!  The city is paying to light the sign, and the technology only costs around 6 cents a day to light it.  WOW!

What a fantastic day!

Installing art on the Sprout-funded-fixed sign

It was a COLD day, and Pete was up on a really tall ladder as it wiggled back and forth with the wind. It was pretty scary!

Pete wheatpasted his hand-made work onto the sign, but because of the cold weather it slipped off during the night, right after he installed it.  This is our only record of this awesome artwork.

Ignite New Mexico 12

On February 28th, 2012, Aline and Lindsey presented at Ignite NM12!  It was an interesting night, we learned how to make a powerpoint, and how to fly a kite.  We went a little over our time limit, but got some laughs and got the word out about FOS!

Valentines posting!

This submission read: Farmer Warrior, you conquer and cultivate me.  It turns out a friend on mine sent it, and it was her valentine tribute to her boyfriend!

February 6, 2011

Changing the sign with Highland Art Club students.  It was SOOO cold that day, and the wind made it even colder!

We changed the sign to "Your fortune is taken" after a text exchange with a guy who asked me, "can you tell fortunes? can you tell me if I will be single or taken for valentines day?"  We predicted he would be "taken"

On the other side we changed the tic-tac-toe to XOXOXO for Valentine's love!

As we were leaving, the paramedics showed up to take away someone who looked very loopy.
